Untitled Angel Story It is said that when you visit a foreign place, whether it be a new city on holiday or a country where you feel completely out of place, you always look up. It's how you can tell the visitors from the natives. Beyond the cameras and maps and intense need to do as much as humanly possible in one day. Beyond the street performers and wide eyes. Natives plow forward, eyes ahead, used to the surroundings, wearing down pavement day in and day out. Only the unknown looks up. The question is, why? Why do we stop? When does an adventure become an everyday occurrence? Is it that we forget the sky? Forget the feeling of discovering something new?Untitled Angel Story by ~Tennath

Close Your Eyes I don't knowClose Your Eyes by ~Tennath
I Don't Know
I DON'T KNOW
I don't know you
Faceless, aimless menace
You, who lurks,
In the back of my thoughts
The memories I still see clearly
Beautiful
Except for that speck
That dead pixel
In which you live
In which you show me your existence
I know you are there
Aching little gap
Poke
Prod
Stab
Throb
I feel your chill
Creeping up the hairs at the back of my neck
Settling into my subconscious
Nesting your way into the folds of my cerebellum
No matter the adventures I take
The new places I roam
The faces I have met
No matter
The books that I read
The flights my dreams may take
No matter my personal

Trapped Listen up, little girlTrapped by ~Tennath
You don't belong in this world
Twisting down dank caverns
Blinking against the fading light
You shouldn't go
Peeking around crumbling corners
Twisting doorknobs of locked doors
They're locked for your protection
Learn, little girl
You shouldn't rail against
The walls we built for you
You don't want to return
To the place you once knew
Buried in the earth
Suffocating in lost time
Look around, little girl
Is this what you want?
Constantly questioning what is right?
How much more
Can you push
Can you plead
Can you bleed
Before you break apart
Here on your own
Love us, little girl
We're around
To

When You Run I found outWhen You Run by ~Tennath
How fast and long
I can run
I've ran from the pain
The hurt
The memories
I ran across an ocean
Settled someplace vast and new
To a land both ancient and evolving
Weathered stone housing two stories of technology
Click clacks of an oncoming train
Hair blowing back in stale air
As feet pound the pavement above
I created new memories
New experiences
I found a stronger me in the newness
And I felt safe
But someone can
Only run
For so long
Before needing to turn back
I faced a truth about myself
I was running from something
I couldn't even see
I was running from something
I didn't know
I have questions
